Equities want a pool, not a queue
Order books are the right shape for markets with continuous two-sided flow and a desk paid to stand in the middle. Most tokenized equities have neither. A pool gives them a price anyway.
The long tail never gets a market maker
A handful of tokenized names carry enough volume to interest a professional desk. Everything else trades in bursts, at odd hours, in sizes that do not repay the cost of quoting. The book for those names is empty exactly when someone wants to use it.
A pool does not need anyone to be awake. Liquidity sits in the program and prices itself against the curve, which is a worse fill than a tight book and an infinitely better fill than no book at all.
Settlement should be the boring part
Solana settles in well under a second and charges fractions of a cent, so a swap is a single user action rather than a workflow. The tokenized equities already live there, issued as Token-2022 mints and quoted against USDC.
That lets the interesting decisions stay at the routing layer. Nothing here custodies funds, holds an order, or takes the other side of a trade.
Route, do not rebuild
Liquidity for these names is spread across a dozen venues, and it moves. Writing another pool would add risk without adding depth.
So Quant is a router and a screen. It asks Jupiter which path fills best across every venue at once, shows the route before you sign, and gets out of the way. The pools belong to the market; the choice belongs to you.
